Geofond CR- the basic purpose and subject of the activity of this organization
is to perform the function of archive, documentary, informative and educational
centre of the geologic service in the CR as a legal entity appointed by
the Ministry of Environment.

Survey of data bases capable of the Ministry of Environment
using:
Within the framework of the Department of geology activities there is
a geographic informative system on PC that is based on a digital data processing
of the deposit register of the Geofond CR (digging spaces mined and not
mined, protected deposit regions, sole or unsole deposits, nonbalanced
deposits, prognostic sources etc.), spread to some protected zones. The
target must be the utilization of all mined material including an improvement
of the mined wastes and the following landscape rectification.
The stratum GIS containing geodynamical processes in the area of the
CR (landslides, undermined regions, old mining work) has been getting ready
to use. Its working version will have been ready by the end of 1998.
Within the framework of the department there is also a central evidence
of the searched regions, a central evidence of the taken decisions
about a precedent agreement to the determination of mining spaces, a central
evidence of re-evaluated prognostic regions, an evidence of public orders
for geology-searching work, an evidence of the professional quality
licence in according to the § 3 of the Law about geologic work. These evidences,
however, do not have a character of databases statistics nor are equipped
by the graphic information. Perhaps we can consider a utilization of the
statistic statements of the GEO (the Ministry of Environment) V 3-01 i.e.
a databases created on the basis of the comprehensive state balance of
stores.
The department provides and administrates 3 external data bases on
a contract:

data bank of geochemical work results - operated by the cooperative stores
Geomin, Jihlava

data bank of uranium industry results - operated by Diamo, s.p.
These extensive databases collect results of the geologic work gained in
the framework of publicly financed geological research. They are a part
of the system of specialized databases of the geologic information
science and they are methodologically under the supervision of the Geofond
CR. The geologic data mostly do not perform environmental informations
without an added interpretation.
Performing databases, used by the lower organs, is a constituent of
the survey. The Geofond CR deals with the following extensive list:
