AOPK (Agency of Nature and Landscape Protection)
Agency of Nature and Landscape Protection - its task is to ensure the special activity on landscape and nature protection. This public budget organization represents an extensive network of workplaces sited in the area of the CR. There are established the specialized workplaces in providing services - documentation, administration of the land fund, laboratory of a long-distanced research of Earth and administration of  small-scaled and large-scaled protected territories. There are 10 regional workplaces in the area of the CR. Some of their main activities are to provide  the professional care about protected trritories, administration of the Central Register of Protected Terrritories, and leading of the Information System of the Nature Protection (ISOP), and other special activities. There is a close co-operation with administrations of the protected landscape territories and the national parks. Function of this organization is closely linked with Law No 114/92 Col. About landscape and nature protection.

    CZECH REPUBLIC The purpose of Act No 114/92 Col. is to contribute to the maintenance and renewal of natural balance in a landscape, to protect variety of forms of life and to economical management of the nature sources. The Act distinguishes 6 categories according to the subject, goals of protection and the way of their using. These are the national parks, protected landscape areas, national nature reserves, national natural memorials, nature reserves and natural memorials.
    The national parks and protected landscape areas rank to large-sized protected territories.
    The national nature reserves, the national natural memorials, nature reserves and natural memorials rank to the small-sized protected territories.
    Mostly these areas are with prevalence of the forest ecosystems and locations.

    CZECH REPUBLIC

    Territorial systems of ecological stability (TSES - USES in Czech) - a ecological network ensuring the protection of the ecosystems and nature landscapes of the supranational importance. Data have acquired from the NR USES CR (Technical Document for the Super-regional System of Ecological Stability of the Czech Republic).



    DETAILS OF SELECTED TERRITORY * The term "Super-regional" involves smaller geographic unit since the extent of the CR Territory is relatively small - 72,860 km2. Usually, it means first tens thous. km2.
