National nature reserves - the regions of an extraordinary value, where an important ecological system is related to the characteristically developed system. Its protection depends on all biological varieties of the region, especially on the geobotanical and zoological points of view.
National natural memorials - the regions of protection mostly only one of the natural constituents of ecological systems. This is mostly an important mineralogical or paleonthologic finding place, geologic or geomorphologic phenomenon or a place of occurrence of rare fauna or flora organisms.
Nature reserves and natural memorials - according to the way of protection they are at the same level as national nature ones, however, their importance is only regional or local. Powers belong to licensed local organs or governments of national parks or protected landscape territories in which areas they are found.
