CGU (Czech Geological Survey)
Czech Geological Survey - a public budget organization, a departmental research institute of the Ministry of Environment. It collects and processes informations on the geologic compositions of the state area and passes it on the administrative organs for the management, the ecological and the political decisions. It provides regional geologic informations.
In 1990 the Ministry of Environment charged the Institute the same as the Geofond CR with the administration of the state geologic service. Czech Geological Survey is a member of the European geologic services and of the International Geologic Service Consortium.
