Lesy CR - the state organ, whose task is an administration
of the forest growths on territory of the CR. Its establisher is the Ministry
of Agriculture of the CR.
Forest area is nearly 2.6 mil ha (64.2 mil acres) that is nearly one
third of the total area of the CR. This country is relatively high wooded,
that means also the noticeable nature wealth to its economy. The importance
of a forest does not lie only with wood mass, eventually seeds and products.
According to the Law No 114/92, Col. about nature and landscape protection
and No 289/95, Col. about forests (Forest Act) each forest is considered
to be an important landscape element that protection is a general interest.
Forests are like nature close ecosystem considered to be the most important
part of the ecological stability of the landscape. That is why there is
a continual necessity of care about their renewal, health and other important
functions, that help to keep the nature worth of the forest locations.

The stated geographic data are used particularly in the connection with
data of the AOPK, the VUV and a basic topography during the Supreme
Administration of Public Supervision in forests and the Regional Public
Administration. It is used to gaining of a preliminary information in the
course of planning of the supervision undertaking.
They have particularly irreplaceable work at the supplementary information
about surroundings of the supervised objects.
The emphasis may be put on information about activity of the authorized
organs of the public administration.
