Hydrogeological zones
Hydrogeological zones - Subsurface waters of CR are recorded
and balanced for water management purposes incl. water reserves assessment,
regional planning, etc. Principles of zoning territory of former Czechoslovakia
had been formed in late 50ies and in 1965 were elaborated and by official
bodies approved hydrogeological zoning map with attached legend and documentation.
In 1972 updated and in 1986 revised documentation forms a regional part
and parcel of National Water Management Balance.
Hydrogeological zone has been define as an unit of parallel hydrogeological
conditions in a demarcated region with prevailing analogous type of aquifer
properities and/or hydrogeologic cycle (infiltration-flow, accumulation-drainage).
