Targets of the project
- The digital catalogue of the GIS environmental data

to provide all present and potential users a survey of procurable geographic data and related
data

to produce the signal information on environment of the Czech Republic
by the most practical and the easiest form

to provide the basic information about a chosen phenomenon on the cased
area

to popularize the sphere of utilization of the geographic information systems
in the Department of Environment

to develop the relation to a user by the well-arranged GIS data to the
public administration and the specialized public

to show the graphic facilities by the using of the GIS facilities

the printed form provides to obtain a basic survey of the possible presentations
of the GIS data on environment either in the form of a simple presentation
of the basic geographic strata or eventually the multistrata combination
during observing of the evaluation trends, clashes of interests etc., in
a particular area of interest
The catalogue itself is created in two basic levels:

Survey of the GIS data of the Ministry of Environment and their description

Extracts from the geographic data of the Ministry of Environment
The whole project had been solved in further to the projects whose issue
was a comprehensive survey of the data and their descriptions. Stated
geographic data mostly had been created or activated for 1997, by
the subordinated organs of the Ministry of Environment on the basis
of the orders either from own sources or from the means given
by the PPZP.
The modernization for1998 has not been done yet.
The attainable data in the Geographic Information System of the Ministry
of Environment of the CR have been included. The data of the department
organizations are more detailed, more topical, embracing wider range
of the problems in many cases. Their establishment into the GIS of the
Ministry of Environment of the CR, however, has not been a subject of this
project fulfilling. |
